Dr Ritchie Head
Project Director
Ritchie specialises in developing collaborative research strategies, creating and delivering high quality communication and exploitation approaches to deliver Impact, acquiring funding and running projects for academic and industrial clients.
Before joining Ceratium he was NW Section Head at RTC North and director of a Regional FP6/7 Contact Point.
Ritchie worked as a researcher and project manager for TNO, a biotechnology start-up in Iceland and as PDRA in 2 UK Universities. His work, on technology-orientated projects, involving working in a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs. This career has included managing European framework projects since 1996. He has broad experience of writing successful proposals for a range of research funding programmes including EC Framework Programmes and UK Competitions.
Ritchie has a PhD in Aquatic Sciences (Lancaster) University and a BSc in Environmental Biology (Liverpool).
Christina Olsen
Senior European Project Consultant
Christina has worked for Ceratium since 2013, undertaking project management, proposal writing and valorisation activities for FP7 and Horizon 2020 projects, delivering training courses, proposal writing and coordinating communication activities. Christina has a thorough working knowledge of the management of projects and is proficient at building strong relationships with partner organisations and key stakeholders, managing expectations, and producing viable working solutions to overcome problems. Conscientious and diligent, Christina ensures deliverables and milestones are achieved, while practised in mitigating negative impact through effective planning and risk strategies.
Christina has a BSc in Applied Ecology and has worked for eight years in a commercial environmental consultancy in starting in the management team and progressing to sales and marketing.
Dr Louisa Dever
Managing Director
Louisa has a PhD in Plant Biochemistry and has extensive experience of grant funded research. Her career has included research and project management in academia and the private sector.
As a research scientist Louisa has worked at universities and government research institutes in the UK. Within the private sector Louisa worked as a research manager for a Biotechnology SME in the UK and Iceland. She has also worked as a researcher for both SME and large corporate agri-business.
Louisa currently works on an H2020 plant breeding project at the University of Liverpool and is a Board member of Ceratium.
